MUSICAL MISSION "For nearly seven years we have tried to write & perform a new style of music...something that connects us to Heaven in a very special way. Our mission is to separate people from this world, which we all know is being controlled by evil powers. There are so many traps in our lives, and it's almost impossible not to desire things...stuff that this world could give, things that could make us forget that we are only tourists here...'cause we're not home yet. Our prayer is that while you'll listen to this music, you SHOULDN’T feel well, you shouldn’t be happy and pleased with your life, your possessions, but be desperate to meet Jesus, who's coming back soon, sooner than you might think... For some of you, this music might be a piece of Heaven maybe, a moment of eternity, a special time for prayers, a piece of harmony in a time of war. We hope that these songs will fill your hearts with love, because they have been written "from the heart". May God touch your souls in such a way that you'll never forget where you belong. We are almost home, but not home yet. God Bless you all. Amen." (GRAALMUSIC) ABOUT US It was the winter of 2001 when Attila and Robert met Roland Hermann, a medicine student who also loved music, so they became soon very good friends, and started to play music. Their first "live" performance was on the Christmas day, in Targu-Mures C church. At that time there was no violin, only flute (Attila), guitar (Robert) and keyboards (Roland). They performed the most beautiful Christmas song ever written, "O Holy Night". Well, it probably might’ve sounded terribly at that time, but this was their first "performance", therefore it can't be forgotten :) Very soon, at the beginning of 2002, Izabella Demeter joined the band and gave a beautiful violin sound to the band. From that point it became clear that they cannot continue without violin, therefore, since then, the violin remained in their music to give a specific color to the sound. During 2002, they've played a few covers from other Christian instrumental songs, and also started to write their own songs. This way, pieces like "Broken Bread", "Genesis" or "The Tree Of Hope" soon became pretty popular songs, and when their music list became long enough, it came the wind of change..."let's record a Cd", they said, and so they did. The recordings of the first album took almost a year, including the mastering, but when it was done, a new life began for them. Concerts and more concerts took them in many places and churches from Romania, Hungary or Germany. There were interesting times...people seemed to love this new kind of music, they were loved in many places, the "Hiding Places" Cd has found a home in many hearts. And then, for 2 years, nothing new came up, and finally, in 2005, GRAALMUSIC has launched the second instrumental album, "Almost Home". This too was a very appreciated album, and their music began to be well known in most of the Transylvanian adventist churches. Those were great times, with lots of concerts, plans and optimism...but then suddenly it was over...Roland moved back in his hometown, Medias, to be a dentist, and for the rest of the band, this was a real dead end. Roland became more and more busy, and also started to be interested in missionary works, so he came back very rarely to play music. In the same times, there were other pianists that helped the band, but no-one became a permanent member. As soon as Attila has finished the medical university, he moved to Hungary, so it seemed that there is no chance to put this band back on stage. In these dark times, a light shined suddenly as our friends from AGAPE invited Robert and Iza to play in their band. They accepted, but never stopped to believe in GRAALMUSIC, it just wasn't the time for a new beginning...at least not yet. So, for almost two years they played together with AGAPE, and found some really good friends among them. In the same time, Naomy Blenessy became interested in working with GRAALMUSIC, and so were GRAALMUSIC in her piano talent, so they started to play together, and soon enough GRAALMUSIC was not only a "musical background" for AGAPE, but also an individual band again. Those were very difficult times, with lots of tears and sufferings (no details), but where there is pain, there is also hope, and in 2006 they wrote enough songs to record a new Cd, but this time a vocal one. It was a new experience for them, probably influenced by their friendship with the vocal band, AGAPE. The Cd is called "Here I Am To Worship", and contains 17 songs. The success of the album was beyond any expectations, so they continued to compose vocal songs also. In the meantime Naomy left the band and Izabella Pasztor became a permanent member as pianist. In 2007, they recorded the second vocal album, "Will You Remember?", which technically was much better than the first one, and soon enough two of the songs from this album, "Almost Home" and "Soapta Noptii" became very popular songs all over the place. During their concerts in 2006-2007, they also recorded some videos, in Oradea (Viata La Superlativ), where brother Cornel Darvasan made a beautiful work and became a great friend of the band, and Hungary (Remenyseg Media), during some concerts in Godollo and Kecskemet. So, at the end of 2007, the things were again more than great, Attila started to come home very often, so the great old GRAALMUSIC style was there again. Semida (who became their flutist one year before, and did a great job) left the band, and Denisa Sava was invited to help the band out, especially when Attila couldn't be around. Ioana Borza also left the band at the end of 2007, when she realized that she had no much time for music these days, but she continued to sing with them, whenever she had the time. Because everyone started to ask things like "Hey, what about a new instrumental album?", the band started to record 16 new instrumental songs, during 2007-2008. The album became very interesting and enriched with songs in so many styles, including pop, jazz, blues, classical and so on. "From The Heart" is by far the greatest musical work ever done by GRAALMUSIC. The sound is changed, filled with dynamism and great technical works. Special thanks to Szep-Toth Gyuri also, who's been there since the second album, in 2005. His music studio became a real home for the band. They've spent lots of days and nights there, during the months of recordings and mastering. Anyway...that's all until now. 5 albums and a dvd. There is much more to say about the band, the music, the weird name they've chosen and co, but maybe next time....God bless all of you who were there for us all these years, thank you for your patience, your interest in this music...may we all meet together one fine day…at the Crystal Sea.
